What sets The Canvas apart from other venues?
Our amenities & accommodations! Here at The Canvas we have multiple ballrooms to accommodate your events. Our rooftop experience provides a unique experience and our grounds are a calming oasis to host your events . Additionally, The Canvas Special Events Center is complete with air conditioning, heating, beautiful indoor restrooms, a catering prep kitchen, and so much more! How many guests can The Canvas accommodate?
The Canvas has many options available for your events. Our largest banquet hall [Goshen] can accommodate up to 400 guests. Our smaller banquet hall [Salem] is best suited for 150-250 guests. Our upstairs meeting Room [Haven] will take between 100-150 guests . Our [Foyer] is available on occasion and will seat 60-75 people. The rooftop [Oasis] will accommodate a maximum of 200 guests. Our grounds [Eden] are available on special request for outdoor events. You will be able to create a floor plan that fits your vision to see exactly how many guests you can fit.
What is your food and vendor policy?
You are welcome to chose any wedding and event caterer of your choice! The Canvas provides a catering kitchen with refrigerator, warmers and microwaves . No cooking is expected at The Canvas.
If I am hosting an event at The Canvas, when will I have access to the property?
Unless a different time is agreed upon in advance, you will have access to the venue for 12 hours and up to 6 hours before your event to begin setup and preparation.
What is included in the rental price?
Access to the venue for 12 hours (unless otherwise specified during your consultation)
The Canvas has the following tables and chairs that will be available on a first come, first serve basis
300 Chiavari Chairs
300 white resin chairs
Tables (30 round 60 inch, 30 rectangular 8ft , 10 30 inch round cocktail, 4 36 inch cocktail)
Onsite parking
Depending upon the occasion, make use of our beautiful Bridal Suite, Grooms Room; as well as our catering kitchen (open to outside caterer use)
*PLEASE NOTE: Our venue rental price is all-inclusive of every feature listed above. However, price does NOT include event coordination, set up, decorating, or clean up. Some of these services can be arranged for an additional cost. Please contact us if you are interested!
Do you allow pets on The Canvas premises?
Generally, only Service Animals are allowed at The Canvas.
What am I allowed to use as decor?
We want to make a reality of your creative vision, so let your creativity flow! But please note our restrictions. We ask that only air-filled balloons be used for decoration inside The Canvas. Please refrain from using staples, tape, or harmful adhesives on the walls, ceiling, and furnishings of The Canvas. Any and all candles must be covered or in a container when lit. Taper candles are allowed, however, they need to have a “hurricane vase” covering the flame and something at the base to catch the wax. If wax spills/drips you will be responsible for cleaning and/or damages caused. Please do not use confetti or loose glitter as this will be difficult to clean
We ask that all decor be removed from The Canvas property after your event. If you're in doubt or have any questions, feel free to contact us!
Does The Canvas have a PA System?
The Canvas has an indoor-door sound system. However, the indoor-door sound system is set up to be used for announcements and background music during dinner, cocktail and decorating: it is not meant to replace a DJ. Please plan accordingly to bring your vision to life!
Can I bring an outside caterer for my event at The Canvas?
Yes! The Canvas does not offer any catering services. If you chose to bring a vendor, we ask that you get prior approval from our team and they must be a legal business with proper insurance covering their services. The Canvas is not liable for any actions of caterers or other vendors.
Does The Canvas offer dishes or flatware?
The Canvas does not provide plates, silverware, and glassware for your event.
Does The Canvas offer a full service bar?
The Canvas does not offer a beverage service. Liquor is allowed on premises with a valid liquor license and insurance. Please submit names of bartender for approval before your event
At what time does the party need to stop?
With your rental, you are allowed 12 hours and you can decide what that looks like. This time includes all your vendors and personal items to be set up and broken down. Our facility must be locked by midnight (12:00AM) at this time all vendors and guest should be exiting the premises. We recommend ending your party 1hr before closing and use this time for clean up or vendor pick up. Once you have your timeline put together you can determine if you need to additional hours.
Who is responsible for cleanup?
You and your vendors are responsible for cleanup, collecting all decor and personal items. If you are requiring assistance or looking for recommendations of outside sources who may assist with this task, please discuss this with the team at The Canvas. The Canvas will provide a checklist of cleaning tasks that must be completed before leaving (at 12:00 AM), including: removal of all decorations, gifts, and personal property; as well as pickup of garbage, florals, flower petals, empty bottles, food or drinks, candy on the floor etc. If cleanup is not adequate or damages have incurred, expenses may be removed from renter's security deposit and an itemized statement will be issued.

How does parking and transportation work?
We have a large parking lot that will make self-parking easy for your guest.
It is fine if a vehicle or two are left on property overnight, but this action is taken at renter's discretion. The Cavas is not a gated property, and we are not liable for any potential thefts or damages. We prefer everything to be removed by midnight the night of your event, if possible. No campers or motor homes are allowed onsite unless pre-approved, and they still need to be removed by midnight.
